Ron Veto
You won't find low hanging fruit among my images. Misery and despair is easy to find. My hope is to explore the beauty of our world and some of it's unique characters within. To capture that eye to eye moment is magical. Sharing a powerful moment then parting forever, knowing everyone's lives had been changed, especially mine.

My world is with my camera.
I received my very first Brownie 127 when I was 12 years old. Since then, my entire working life has been entirely devoted to the still or live action film making process. A career as a television and feature film Camera/Steadicam operator has been a dream come true.
To pick up my Nikon and capture that special still moment is magic.
99% of the images displayed within this site were taken with the exact same lens package. Prime 1982 AI Nikon glass has been my ammo. Zoom/auto focus lenses are not welcomed in my kit.
There are a few select images shot with either a Holga, Leica, MD2 or a “Widelux but the Nikon has been my primary camera.
Camera's at my side, I continue to "hunt" so I may contribute content to various publications to promote safe and successful travel and photography. Plus it's so much fun!

These are some of my personnel / professional photos.
The introduction of the camera slider. Included in this collection are images from a camera movement system called, The "Original" Slider. Jerry Giacalone and I created and branded this film tool in 1998.
It sits as the industry standard in Hollywood for safe and presice camera movement
I've made my career from the moving image. Aerial, underwater or full on stunt sequences has been my hunting ground and profession.
But sometimes peoples lives are changed by the simple, beautiful still image. Usually it's mine. I love it!
